From there, we match you with a counselor whose experience and approach best meet your needs. You will never have to figure out which therapist is right on your own.

Tools and approaches

What therapy may include.

Your therapist draws on approaches that fit you, which may include understanding deep rooted perspectives and reprogramming beliefs using modalities like Internal Family Systems or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Optional tools include mindfulness techniques, somatic exercises, Emotional Freedom Technique, and meditation practices, as well as specific skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Your first appointment

A conversation, at your pace.

Your first session is a conversation. Your therapist will want to understand what brought you in, what your day to day looks like, and what you are hoping might change. You will never be pushed to share more than you are ready to.

Together you will begin to shape a sense of direction. Sometimes that takes one session, sometimes a few. The pace is yours, and you can ask questions at any point.

Sessions typically last about 50 minutes. You will discuss frequency, scheduling, and any paperwork or insurance details before or during your first visit.
